History
From tech "nerds" in the 90's and driven by our curiosity about how things work and what we can do to make them even better. With a background in industrial automation and years of experience, we set out to create our own solutions to modern day problems.
TCG-SpotPriceTracker
Optimise your residential energy system and save costs
The TCG-SpotPriceTracker is a price-driven energy management system that automatically lowers your energy costs in many different ways.
1. The Buy/Hold/Consume/Sell profile buys extra energy into the battery when the electricity price is lowest, holds the energy in the battery while the price is still low, consumes the energy from the battery when the price is high and, finally, if the price difference is big enough, sells energy from the battery back to the grid when the price is highest.
2. The EV charge profile charges the electric vehicle when the price is below the set limit.
3. The Relay profile connects loads when the price is low (load adding) and disconnects loads when the price is high (load shedding).
4. All the above can also be triggered based on overproduction from the solar panels to prevent selling your produced energy at low price hours.
5. If the battery is full and the price is negative, the SpotPriceTracker can automatically adjust the solarpower production to only meet the needs of your house and prevent selling.

How it works
The SpotPriceTracker gets its energy price data from the cloud and generates a daily control profile for the energy storage system, EV charger and the relay outputs based on the price limits that the user has set in the web-based interface. The SpotPriceTracker continuously communicates with the solar hybrid system and the EV charger to get measurement data and send control commands. Based on price data and measurements, it sets the whole system into the correct operation mode.
Why it works
There are many different factors that have made energy prices fluctuate more and more, and this is likely to continue because of the green transition, electrification and geopolitical instability. Our TCG-SpotPriceTracker raises the self-consumption percentage of solar energy and focuses the selling of energy to high-price hours and the buying of energy to low-price hours.

Consultations
Our consulting services include a comprehensive analysis and discussion of your energy usage to ensure you get the proper set-up to meet your needs.
On top of that, we can offer you a complete solar hybrid start-up package from site analysis to complete installation. We use Sungrow products, inverters, batteries (ESS) and EV chargers, and our TCG-SpotPriceTracker is compatible with Sungrow products. This package includes the installation of solar panels and all necessary equipment, documentation and commissioning.

A young company built on years of experience
Totech was established in 2022 in Forsby, Finland, but our journey began way before that. From childhood friends, we grew into business partners, taking on industrial automation projects on the side of our daytime jobs.
Fast forward 25 years, we came to a turning point where we decided to go all in and create Ab Totech Oy, our very own company, focusing on industrial automation and our own invention, born from a need to make green technology easier, more efficient and accessible for everyone.
